After playing with the cute little Elzybells, I decided to switch to the MUCH larger Rubber Romance girls. These stamps are SO big that it doesn't take much embellishing or layering to finish off the card.
I buy my Rubber Romance girls here: http://www.eclecticpaperie.com/rurounru.html
I started off with the patterned paper and colored my girl to match. She is colored with a combination of SU markers and Prismacolor pencils blended with stumps and gamsol. I drew a line with a brown marker to make a surface for her to lay on. You have no idea how impressed I was that I could draw a line. LMBO! I cannot draw... not even stick figures... so a line creating a surface is a big thing for me. LOL After I colored her I realized that I was going to cover up too much of the patterned paper and that made me sad since it is SO SO cute. So, I decided to turn it into wall paper. I got this idea in my head and I must say it came out exactly how I envisioned it. I cut around chocolate girl with my Cutterbee scissors. Then I used a craft knife to cut out the space between her crossed legs. I popped up the piece using dimensionals and to me it looks like the way is in the foreground. :) YAY! :) I altered a piece of hodgepodge hardware by removing the triangular piece of metal from the clippy thing and using a glue dot to glue in a piece of hemp. The malleable hemp allows the hanging sentiments to lay flat instead of hanging sideways not allowing you to read them. YAY again! LOL
I have a couple more Rubber Romance cards to post in the coming days. :) Check back for more wall paper. :)
Have a GREAT day!
