Cupcake Box

I hope you have your sunglasses on! I channeled my friend, Carole who LOVES bright colors to make this ensemble for a birthday gift. It is going to a sweet little girl who is celebrating her 8th birthday tomorrow. (Yes, Mary this is for Rebekah!)

I figured I would step outside of my norm and make her a bright and cheery cupcake birthday card. I paired a Hero Arts cupcake set with the Basic Grey Cupcake paper (which incidentally contains NO cupcake prints... WTH?). When I was done with the card, I remembered I had some cute little cupcake boxes made by Wilton (purchased in the craft section at Walmart-package of 3 for under $4) that would be cute to use as a gift box. This project took on a life of it's own as I stamped, colored and cut out cupcakes like crazy! LOL I decorated the inside of the box by adhering patterned paper to the inner walls of the box and on the divider piece that holds the cupcakes. The pink Marvy punch worked perfectly to punch out the holes for the patterned paper covering the insert piece. I decorated the outside with patterned paper and adhered the cut-out cupcakes at different dimensions on the lid. I added a sentiment and cupcake to the front of the box as well as to the May Arts ribbon that ties the box closed. I finished it off by adding white cupcake paper liners and filling them with fun goodies for her to use with her card making. She is a stamper in training and who can resist fueling her passion? NOT ME! LOL I added some shredded blue paper to the box to keep everything secure in the paper liners while shipping.

The card used the Monday mojo sketch found here. Thanks for the inspiration. :)
