Scarecrow Ensemble

Hello ladies! I am teaching a class today at the fabulous Stamp & Scrap Trap in El Paso and these are the projects we are doing!

As I sat down to plan the class, I knew that I wanted to use my stamp set from My Favorite Things: "We're Not Scared". I have a big file that I place printed ideas and inspiration in and I decided to drag it out. In my file I found it... the perfect thing for my scarecrow... the PLEATED POCKET PATTERN! Julie Ebersole posted the concept exactly 2 years and 6 days ago. It must have caught my eye because I printed it out way back then and it was JUST what I needed for the stamp set! I instantly had a vision of a field with different things tucked in the pockets. Thanks, Julie for the inspiration! :)

After I finished the card I decided it needed a treat holder to go with it, so I grabbed my french fry box Sizzix XL die and cut one out with Kraft card stock. I wanted to carry on with the field theme so I cut the front of the box with my Cutterbees. I WAS going to stop at the ribbon, sentiment and scarecrow... but then I decided I needed to "scene it" too so I started sticking things to the front and back and I think it flows nicely with the card. :) When I showed my daughter Madeline she squealed, so I guess that is a good sign. LOL
