As I mentioned in my last "Where Have You Been?" blog post, I attended an SCS shoebox swap on October 4th. What is a shoebox swap? Each participant designs a card (or other project) and then provides the prepped materials for all other participants to complete their project. This particular shoebox swap had 45 participants, so I stamped 45 cards in ONE DAY! EEEK! At the end of a 12 hour day, I had 45 cards (actually 44 cards and 1 3D pumpkin that Jen brought). It was super fun!
The cards are supposed to be kept to 10 minute cards. I find this especially difficult since most cards I make take me an hour plus. LOL The card I came up with is an off shoot of one I have posted on my blog previously. The card shown here is not my actual sample. My actual sample took a dip in an ink pad and had to be thrown away. LOL The original card had inked and distressed edges.
I made a matching name tag for the event as well as a matching candy box with treats for the ladies as they came to my station. Everything matched. I resisted the urge to wear matching clothes. LMBO! (maybe next time *wink*) Remember when I posted my FLUBBER project and told you that the container for the containers could be altered? (<<
I met some GREAT ladies for the first time and reconnected with many I had met in the past! Thank you to each and every one of you! It was awesome!
