I want to hold your hand

Are you singing the song? This card is making me sing! LOL Cover your ears!

I have had this stamp for quite a while now. It is from a UK company, Elzybells. They ran a sale a while back for free shipping and of course, I was happy to participate. LOL This stamp (and a couple others for CHRISTMAS *eye roll*) has been sitting in the "please use me" pile and I finally got around to sticking it on some cling foam and stamping with it! YAY! I bought this stamp (and the matching sentiment) because Carole enabled me. She made an adorable card (of course) using this stamp and sentiment and I had to have them both. The card Carole made can be found HERE. If you'd like to see some of Carole's OTHER Elzybells cards here are 2 cute ones from her SCS gallery HERE and HERE.

I was itching to make another "quilted" card like the one I made HERE. I was set on using the Basic Grey Bittersweet paper pad, but the problem was that I couldn't find 3 patterns that matched well enough to quilt with them. I only wanted brown and light pink and there are more vivid colors in the pack. I was getting rather irritated when I remembered I could PRINT MY OWN patterned paper using the digital paper pack from MFT. I grabbed a piece of pretty in pink card stock and printed brown dots on it from THIS paper pack. YAY! It matches quite well and was just what I needed to finish my card! YAY

I am planning on writing a short tutorial to show you HOW to create this card. Hopefully I can get that done in the next week or so. :)

The image was colored with Copic markers. I added a "manly" lightening bolt from Mel's Little Tees set. I used a Quickie Glue Pen to add some glitter to the girl's polka dots and bow. The sentiment was stamped on patterned paper, cut out with Nestabilities and stitched on with a zig zag stitch. I finished it off with some chunky copper brads (Michaels) and a couple Prima flowers. I did add some finishing details on the inside of the card. This card is 5 1/2" square.

Stamps: Elzybells image, Verve sentiment
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Paper: White, brown, pretty in pink, MFT digi paper pack (dots)
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, Xyron, copper brads, Janome sewing machine, Quickie Glue Pen, Copic markers, Essentials Primas, Fancies Primas, Nestabilities, Red line dimensionals, red line tape
