- Who's That Chocoholic
- Clearly Sentimental about Chocolate
My first card uses Who's That Chocoholic (me me me). Who's That Girl is digging in to her favorite truffles. I am sure many of you can relate! :) The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I added Sakura Glaze Pen to the tops of the truffles.
I finished off the inside of the card with another sentiment that comes in the set and patterned paper.

My next project was inspired by the new stamp set, Clearly Inspired about Chocolate. One of the sentiments inspired me to make this notebook perfect for all the notes and lists I am CONSTANTLY making (yes, I am one of those crazy list people LOL).
The covers of this book were cut out of heavy weight chipboard to 4 X 4 squares. I covered each cover with patterned paper using red line tape. I prefer to use Xyron, but I am OUT! Wahhhhh! Note to self: make a note in your new notebook to buy Xyron ASAP! I stamped the sentiment on a Perfect Paper Panel and then die-cut it with my Nestabilities. I placed temporary adhesive on the back side of the paper to keep it in place in the Nestabilities and then used my Copic airbrush to fill in the inner part of the die with shades of blue.
I hope I am not wearing out my welcome with the Prima burlap flowers, but I love them... so I used another one today! LOL The flowers come with a brown flower and a little "ball thingy" on them, but the colors weren't working with my project, so I ripped that part off and flipped over the flower so I could make my own center detail. I placed a 1/2" red line adhesive dot in the center of the flower. Then, I added a baby braddie in silver to the center and placed yellow Glittered Garnishes all around it. I had some adhesive showing, so I sprinkled some of the new Glitzy Glitter offered by MFT over it. It is really cool ground glass glitter! You MUST get some. :)
I assembled the notebook using my handy Bind-it-All. While I am on the subject of binding, let me share a TRICK with you!
If you like making your own notebooks, but don't want to deal with the PAIN of cutting a zillion pieces of paper (and even if you DO, they are usually crooked and NOT uniform), then I have the perfect trick for you. Visit your local print shop and have them cut a ream of plain copy paper for you. I plot out the cuts that I want on a piece of the copy paper and then ask them to make the cuts for me so I have an entire ream cut and ready to go! It usually costs me about $11 for the ream, depending on how many cuts they make for me. I do NOT recommend going to Staples/Office Depot, Kinkos! In my experience, they are not capable of cutting straight, uniform sheets and I have been highly disappointed in their work! My local print shop (Print Plus) has done an EXCELLENT and professional job! Some sizes that work well for me are:
3 3/4 X 3 3/4 (covers are 4 X 4)
8 1/4 X 5 1/4 (covers are 8 1/2 X 5 1/2)
5 1/4 X 4 (covers are 5 1/2 X 4 1/4)

I have one more card for you using the new set, Who's That Chocoholic? I was enjoying using them and I just couldn't stop. Plus, they all match, so naturally I need to post them all together. LOL
The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I paper-pieced her dress using My Mind's Eye Love Me Do patterned paper. The truffles are covered in Sakura Glaze Pen (clear).
I finished the inside with another sentiment from the set and a strip of matching patterned paper. Finishing the inside only takes a little while longer and really pulls everything together. Try it. :)
