Hi everyone and thanks for popping in today. :)
When I was using this stamp set last week, I had some newsprint patterned paper on my desk and I SO wanted to use it with this stamp set, but it wasn't really working with the perfume bottles, cakes or gift boxes, so I decided to MAKE it work by grabbing another MFT set, I {Heart} Books and using the books in that stamp set to place on the shelves. YAY. It worked. I was totally willing to force the issue... call me stubborn. LOL
The image was stamped, then paper pieced using Bella Blvd Estate Sale patterned paper. The books were from the I {Heart} Books stamp set.
The scalloped border was created using Die-namics Jumbo Scallop and CORK. It cuts beautifully. :) I also cut a strip of cork for the top of my card and had a bulletin board in mind. I snipped a normal pin in half and used it to tack the word bookworm to my board. FYI, I cut the cork with my normal Fiskars paper trimmer. It didn't cut all the way through, but it did cut enough that I just had to bend back the cork and it snapped the rest of the way off.
The trim I used is a gift from my friend, Michele. She sent me several different types for my birthday and I love it ALL. Thanks, Michele. :)
