THIS reason:
Let me introduce you to Ripley.
Stats:
- Shih-Tzu - female - tri-colored
- 9 weeks old
- 6 pounds
- PS: She DOES have eyes. LOL She is sleeping AND shaggy... :)
- Named by my husband after a character from the movie Alien. Not sure who or what this character is. He let me name our first dog Puffle, so I think that earns him a free naming, don't you? *giggle*
- Munched on my glasses a couple nights ago while I was sleeping. Frames, lenses and all. Perhaps Marley would have been a more fitting name?
- Likes to sleep under the couch
- Wags her tail when she sees me
- Love her...
Now that I have shared my puppy love story with you, let me share my Love You card. :)
This card uses the new set Emma Blowing Kisses. I stamped her in Memento black and colored her with Copic markers and paper-pieced her dress. I made this card for this week's Card Positioning Systems sketch challenge, which MFT is sponsoring this week!
Don't miss the details:
- Diamond stickles on the flower in her hair
- Fun new EK punch used for the scalloped border
- Cool webbed ribbon strung through button and left "curly"
Stamps: Emma Blowing Kisses
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: white, black, Cosmo Cricket Delovely
Accessories: Raspberry button, webbed ribbon (local scrap store), silver brads, copic markers, stickles, Janome sew mini, red line tape, red line dimensionals
I'll see you tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!
Yeah!! So glad you posted a pic! And btw, I think you got off pretty light with Ripley as a name - could have been so much worse!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card too! Love your piecing and that ribbon through the button!
Shih tzu's have the BEST personalities and Ripley looks like a love bug. I am blessed with two yorkies and an all white shih tzu. Very cute card!
ReplyDeleteAwww what a sweet puppy, Jody! Shih tzu's are fun dogs that's for sure. Your card is adorable too. Great dp to use with that adorable image ;D
ReplyDeleteRipley is actually a great name. We just got a new cat and I let my husband name her with the condition that I wanted it to be a strong female character name (movie or books) and he came up with the same - Ripley from Aliens. She's probably one of the strongest female characters in all fiction. Enjoy your fluffly new pup!
ReplyDeleteOh so cute (the card too)! Puppies just make me soooo happy, I LOVE puppy breath! Congrats on the new addition to your family :0)
ReplyDeleteKim Forsyth

ReplyDeleteJust love your new puppy. I have a Shih-tzu also...looks alot like yours...he needs a hair cut cause you cant see his eyes..lol
ReplyDeleteRipley has more brown on her than my dog Oreo..he is all white with some brown patches. He is also 7 years old and weighs 26 pounds..we got the big one of the bunch..hehe
Enjoy your new bundle of joy.
Oh my goodness, another dog!!! And she chewed your glasses?! Yikes! LOL! For a whole minute that I wanted a dog, I wanted to name it Ripley, so kudos on the name! ;D
