à la modes - Birthday Girl

Hello everyone!  Happy Hump Day!  :) 

Today, we are previewing another new à la mode stamp set: Birthday Girl.  Just to remind you about this amazing new release from MFT:

• The 2 new stamp sets will be available July 14th @ 10 PM EST
• They are high quality, deeply etched, grey RUBBER, mounted on cling foam, SCROLL CUT for your convenience and packaged with a heavy laminated card to store it on.  (WHEW, that was a mouthful!  LOL)

I did my "usual" and got stuck on a paper pack for these 2 cards.  I love the striking look of orange, black, and white... or black, white, and ANY "popping" color for that matter. :)  It's just SO easy. 

I used the black ruffled ribbon and went around my entire image with it.  I added 3, 2 mm Swarovski crystals to her crown.

I added a double-stitched border to the orange panel to jazz it up.

I added a Heidi Swapp ghost shape, with a felt button center.  I found the felt button at an LSS from Creative Imaginations.  I tied a piece of ric rac through it.  You know how I cringe about naked buttons.  LOL  PS: Adding a CLEAR embellishment is the perfect choice, when bringing in another color isn't an option.

The original reason I went with orange, is because I was SO wanting to use these new orange Primas I bought at an LSS several weeks ago.  Mission accomplished!  Now, I have 5 more to go!  :)
 

I colored the cupcake with butter cream frosting, but it was kinda EH to me, so I added some subtle Sakura Clear Glaze Pen dots to the frosting.  We'll call it sugar sprinkles. :)

And here is the big ol' flower I wanted to use.  Isn't it cool?
