Seriously, how cute is he? Awwwww! I used my new BG Jovial paper and some ribbon I had in my
I have been getting questions in my comments about paper piecing, so let me address those. :) Here are some tips:
- Stamp your image on white, and then again on some patterned paper of your choice
- Cut along the black, stamped lines of the part you want to cut out on your patterned paper
- Use a thin adhesive if you want it to blend in with your image OR thicker adhesive (mini glue dots maybe) if you want your paper piecing to pop off the image
I wanted to "stamp out of the box" for the scarf. To do that, when trimming your image, just skip the part of the image that is protruding out of the area you want to cut. Cut with your trimmer as close as you can, then use your scissors to trim around the protruding image. It's a great way to make your panel slimmer if you have just a small piece that is sticking out (like the scarf in this image).
I'll see you back tomorrow for day one of MFT Teaser Time! :) Have a wonderful weekend!
Oh sigh, what can I say. Its fab! LOVE the ribbon and choise of paper. And the scarf sticking out is a great idea. Thanks for the tips. I figured that that is the way you did it but you are SOOOOO precise! I am going to try it.
