It's MFT Release Time! All the new sets and dies that have been shown over the past 5 days are available NOW in the MFT Boutique! (I'll wait patiently while you shop)
OK, back? LOL
Tonight, I am using the Banner Strip Die-namics die, Mini Banner Day Alphabet (which comes WITH the die), and Teacher's Pet (again). I told you earlier how happy I was to have this set on hand to make teacher gifts for Christmas, and now I am putting my "money where my mouth is". LOL Here is a gift set I made for my daughter's teacher, Mrs. Conway.
First up I made her a personalized notebook with my Cinch. (yay for using new tools) I cut the Banner Strip in white and black and constructed it with her name in it. I cut off any extra pennants and just left the ones I stamped on "hanging" from the anchor strip.
Super cool tip: You can perfectly mat the Banner Strip if you use the NEGATIVE of the die-cut (the part you usually throw in the trash). Check out the CONWAY that is matted. It nests perfectly in the negative section. YAY!
This Mini Baby Banner Alphabet that comes WITH the die is SO flippin' cute. They are TINY and tiny things make me coo. LOL
This is the coordinating card I made to go with the notebook. I used the Banner Strip again to spell out teacher and used the extra pennant as a place to adhere an apple from the Teacher's Pet stamp set.
For this banner, I just layered a white banner over a black one. This is another way to mat the banner. I added a strip of patterned paper above it to anchor it and stitched along the strip.
Here is a peek inside. Even just a plain banner strung across the page looks adorable. I also used the Notebook Edge die on the lined paper.
Are you ready to hop along? Next up is the super sweet and talented, Barbara Anders. Get on over there and check out the beautiful creation she has to share. :)
See you tomorrow!
So FUN Jody!
