Up first, I am going to show you my chipboard embellishment and puffy cloud adorned card using the soon-to-be-released Inspired by Up, Up & Away stamp set. LOVE it. SO not my norm, but SO fun nonetheless!
I stamped the hot air balloons on patterned paper and then cut them out. The sentiment is from the set. I created a simple sentiment "banner" and then laid it across the hot air balloons.
I'm REALLY excited about my puffy cloud. Once I set my mind to something, it's GOING to happen. LOL I die-cut 2 felt clouds using the Cloud Trio Die-namics. I *thought* I had a bag of pillow stuffing somewhere, but then I remembered I had gotten rid of it, because let's face it... I am NOT a seamstress. But, as I said, I was desperate and I wasn't about to jump in the car... but then I remember I had a pillow that had a ripped seam (sad but true), so I asked my daughter to go grab me a handful of stuffing. LOL A couple machine stitches later and my puffy cloud was born. I am definitely going to have to try that again. I can see it now... in six months I will have an empty throw pillow case laying on my couch. LMAO :)
I love the new(ish) Pink Paislee patterned paper and embellishments I used. They are very shabby and cool. It's nice to stretch your creative self every now and then. LOL
I finished off the inside with a strip of patterned paper that was "meant to be" for this stamp set and a beautiful quote included in the stamp set.
This card makes me all sorts of giddy. I just LOVED playing with the new Just My Type stamp set and Die-namics die. This typewriter is gorgeous and it really takes center stage on a card! There is a coordinating Die-namics die that die-cuts the typewriter and the genius addition of a piece of "fancy" paper to pop out of the typewriter. The set includes a boatload of sentiments to add to the paper. This set just makes me happy. LOL
I threw a couple elements in from the Own Your Story stamp set also. They work super well together. I used some Glimmer Mist on the Prima flowers.
Surprise, the flap lifts to reveal a stamped message:
you're not old... you're vintage
Then you open the card normally and there is the final message:
happy birthday
Do you not have a million people you could make this card for? LOL SO cute!
