To say I am having fun with the soon-to-be-released First Prize Award Ribbon is an understatement. I am having a flippin' BLAST with it. There are SO many combinations with SO many possibilities, you may find yourself dreaming up occasions to use it for.
For instance, I have decided to give my girls each an award on the last day of school. It never fails... there is always some disappointment following the award assemblies at my daughters' schools. No matter how awesome they are (they are), how awesome their grades are (WAY awesome), or how well-behaved they are (angels), there is always SOMETHING they were wishing for, that they didn't get an award for. So... this year, they are getting a Mommy prize!
Before I get in to the details, let me show you this amazing Die-namics die and stamp set Duo:
And here are just a couple of the ways you can combine this set and die:
For my daughter, Bailey, I created an award ribbon card with the "most thoughtful" sentiment. She truly is THE most thoughtful little girl. She does so many little things for me and other people, always is so considerate of others, and is just the sweetest little girl. I created this using the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics and stamp set, Mini Film Strip Border, and Open Bracket Border, all of which will be released on June 7th at 10 PM EST. Start your wish list now. It's going to be LONG! :)
I used the Grosgain Texture Board to texturize the banner ribbons. Check out the ADORABLE Film Strip Border Die-namics. I LOVE it. SO cute and fun!
Here is my sweet stuff daughter. I adorned her picture with a Heidi Swapp Ghost Shape Mini Star.
Here is the award ribbon card for Miss Madeline. She has the sweetest little smile, which she wears wherever she goes. It's infectious! I stamped her ribbon on sticky-back canvas and used some fabric paper for the ribbon tails.
I tucked the Mini Film Strip Border and Simply Scallops Large Die-namics on the card as well. You can accentuate your "star" with the border. SO cute!
While I was in the "school" mind-set, I decided to make a card for Madeline's teacher for the last day of school. I created the ribbon with cork, fabric paper, and card stock. I just LOVE that you can combine different papers, colors, and textures, and it just all comes together. This set is SO FUN!
Here is how the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics die stacks:
Here are a couple other dies I used:
Here is a fun fact about this die - The smooth circle that comes in the Sweet Stack Die-namics die nicely works to mat the smooth circle in the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics die.

Here is the card I used making the soon-to-be-released Fred Bear Well Done. I personalized the card to give as a gift to my Dad for Father's Day. I just love the sentiment. I added the You're from another Fred stamp set.
Fred Bear is colored with Copic markers. I created the banner using the super cute Fishtail Banner.
