Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog today! Today the MFT design team is banding together for the monthly Creative Challenge and this month, the theme is NO COLORING. I had just tried this recently, so I set out with some confidence and went with it. It's not something I'd do every day, but every now and then, it can be refreshing to try something different.
First, a word from MFT:
In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we're all making cards featuring No Coloring! Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!
I decided to ink up the sweet Pure Innocence Little Witch for my card. She is just TOO cute and I was itching to get inky again. Although I wasn't going to color her, I wanted to do something a *little* special so I decided to stamp her in Brilliance Graphite Black, and clear emboss her to add a little pizazz.
I added a cute little sentiment tag using the Notched Tag Die-namics. I also snuck the Woodgrain Fence in there. I just can't get enough of that thing!
I used the tiny pennant from the Mini Pennants Die-namics and spelled out BOO using the Typewriter Alphabet. The key here is to add enough so that you card isn't boring, without making it too busy. It's a fine line... LOL
I added a black branch near the top of the card to balance it out a bit.
I finished off the inside as well, adding a sentiment to the Ticket Tab and stamping the image over some cute polka dot paper.
Thanks for joining me. Here is a linked list of most of the supplies I used on this card. See you soon!
The embossing look great on the kraft! Love how you used the mini pennant!
