Today, my friend Barbara is hosting one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges over at Splitcoaststampers! Breast cancer effects so many people in so many ways and this is her little way to do something for the cause. There are tons of prizes to be won by participating, and you'll be helping to brighten the day of someone who is affected, so be sure to check out ALL the challenges on the SCS Master Challenge Thread HERE.
Breast cancer isn't picky, it doesn't care what size your ta-tas are--the physical and emotional toll it takes is enormous, regardless. And, although it's rare, it also attacks children. So, when I saw this slogan on a breast cancer awareness site I knew that was what I wanted to do. So, you can "support" them all by playing my challenge, which is to use two sizes of any geometric shape on your project: Circles, rectangles, squares, ovals, you choose, just use two sizes!
I decided to use two different sizes of circles on my card. I whipped out a Unity flower stamp that I have had forever and never used (WHY have I never used this beautiful stamp?). The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I have no idea which set it is from, because I break up the majority of my Stampin' Up sets (gasp).
I got all "techniquey" and colored on the rubber with my Stampin' Up markers (had to dust those bad boys off) and then misted the stamp with water, and stamped on watercolor paper. The bling circle is from Michaels, and I initially planned to use more of those blingy circles, but my card said no. LOL
I just love this sentiment. It's so beautiful and there are SO many amazing women I could send this card to. :)
I'll see you soon.
Gorgeous card, Jody! Love the mix of papers and the layout is wonderful! Think I need to pick up more of those blingy shapes! They are fun!
