But first... it's time for our Die-namics Feature and Pre-Release Pep Rally!
We've taken an in-depth look at this month's Die-namics, while re-visiting the amazing sets being released tonight at 10 PM EST RIGHT HERE in the MFT Boutique.
And while we are at it, how about we make your life even easier with a "cheat sheet" of all that's new? Head over to the MFT Blog to print out a shopping list.
For my card today, I used the Let's Toast stamp set. I just LOVE the combination of fonts in that set. I kept it clean and simple and I didn't even machine stitch on it (GASP). I did sneak in 3 hand-stitched x's though...
I am loving making tone-on-tone Botanical Beauty flowers. Sometimes, it's "too much" to have a colored center. I mounted it on a Leafy Flourish and added some leaves from Upsy Daisy. All of that is perched on one of the Fishtail Flags dies. I will use those things like crazy! I am in LOVE with them! Six options! Awesome!
The sentiment was stamped on patterned paper and then cut out using Circle STAX Set 1. I then cut the matting layer using Circle STAX Set 2. I love how closely they layer!
I added three hand-sttched X's using SU Linen Thread.
I finished off the inside also and added the sentiment on one of the larger Fishtail Flags.
Here are all the Die-namics (and stamp set) I used on this card! WOW! LOL
I had to sneak in one more card! This was actually made using Wednesday Stamp Club 65.
I used the new An Apple for Teacher à la modes stamp set and colored her with Prismacolor pencils. Have I mentioned I am loving Prismacolor pencils lately? LOL
I perched her on an Open Scallop Doily Duo and stamped the sentiment on a Mix & Match Banner and then chopped off the top portion of it.
Here is a peek inside:
