Hi y'all and thank you for stopping by today. It's day 3 of MFT Teaser Time and we are getting sentimental today. I used the Complimentary Greetings stamp set. It was available for the past month as the Triple Scoop Set and now will be available for purchase, for those of you who didn't earn it for free. :)
I used the cool new Sentiment Strips to add detail to my card, sans sentiment. I cut off one end and added a small X stitch using white twine (that I colored cream with a Copic marker).
The sentiment was stamped with Graphite Black Brilliance pigment ink on patterned paper. I used the Circle STAX Set 1 & 2 to cut out all the circles needed for the focal element. I cut the same sized circle out of patterned paper and lined the top and bottom of the circle with it to fill in the dead space.
The flower is so gorgeous. The Plentiful Petals flower comes with 3 centers and 3 flowers that can be mixed and matched to your heart's delight. I used all three flower layers and one center for my card. I added a pink button in the center, stitched on with white twine that I colored cream with a Copic marker.
I added a Rounded Banner STAX to the background of the card. I "anchored" it on with 5 straight across stitches.
I got a little "down and dirty" for this card. I whipped out my paint and decided to make a couple swipes on the different layers of card stock and the banners. The sentiment is stamped with Navy amuse studio ink.
Apparently I was in an X stitch kinda mood, because this card also has a couple in the upper left-hand corner. I used three banners from Banner Day Die-namics and omitted the back layer to keep it small enough to drape along the left corner of my card.
I used the Paperdoll Border Die-namics as an accent. What better illustration of best friends? :)
I tucked in a half-circle cut with Circle STAX Die-namics and pierced along the edge.
First up I have a bright and bold creation using the Brand Spankin' New flower Die-namics, Plentiful Petals.

The first card is beautiful and the best friend card is different, but I really like it. The darker blue paper makes the banner pop.
