Hi all and thanks for stopping by today! It's day 5 of MFT Teaser Time and I am WAY excited about this month's à la modes offerings. Some of my FAVORITE à la modes stamp sets EVER!
I have had this idea in my head for probably a month and I am SO glad I was able to see my vision through! (that seems like a pun given the image... LOL)
Look... no patterned paper! :) I used the new On Safari stamp set. She is stamped and colored with Copic markers. I created a frame out of Kraft card stock using my Oval STAX Die-namics. I cut several Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics out of two different shades of green felt and then adhered them to the white card stock. Then I cut a ton of Vine Border Die-namics out of a couple different shades of green card stock. I adhered one each to the backside of the frame and then the rest, I adhered to the white card stock, placing it very deliberately around the adorable image. I added some strips of white foam tape all the way around the perimeter of the card so it would create a raised frame. That gives room for all those die-cuts and makes it super dimensional (i.e. you won't be mailing this in a normal envelope).
I added Sakura clear glaze pen to the lenses of the binoculars. I like that it dries semi-matte.
Look at all that yummy texture!
Look at all that dimension!
I finished off the inside as well I added a couple more Vine Borders and used the die-cut oval from the front to stamp another image and sentiment on.
Up next is the adorable You Anchor Me stamp set. I think she is adorable!
I went for a wonky layout and lined up my sentiment (stamped on one of the new Sentiment Strips Die-namics) with the paper strips.
I punched a hole in the center of the anchor and slid in a knotted piece of twine. Aren't her little boat shoes adorable?
