Hi all and thanks for stopping by today.  I am super excited to announce that I am now a member of Mona Pendleton's CR84FN Challenge Team.  I am looking forward to stepping outside of my comfort zone and having more to share on my blog.  I hope you'll be inspired to play along and have the chance to be featured.  A special thank you to Mona, who asked me to be a part of her team and welcome to the other new teammates, which include several of my MFT teammates.  :)

Here is my first official card for CR84FN.  I'm kicking off with #67 and I REALLY had to stretch for this one...  GOLD... my nemesis.  LOL  I embraced the challenge and went shopping at the MFT Boutique (the retail location), where I found some fun Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam Glitter Paint in Golden Goddess and Melissa Frances Glass Glitter in a muted gold color.  I have to admit I kinda liked using it.  You may see some voluntary gold usage in the future.

I used the gorgeous new Poinsettia Die-namics from MFT, being released on November 13 at 10 PM EST.  I am in love with that die.  LOVE.  I cut it in Whip Cream and painted the layers with Glitter Glam Golden Goddess paint.  I added the two centers included with the die, both cut with Whip Cream and then added some Melissa Frances Glass Glitter to the center to add a little more elegance.  The leaves were cut from Kraft Card Stock.

The word "PEACE" was stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink on a Sentiment Strip.  It is part of this month's Triple Scoop stamp set, Seasonal Sentiments, which will be available for sale on November 13 at 10 PM EST.  I added a simple stitch using some twine I had on hand.

I used a circular plastic canvas piece and pierced a circle on my plum layer to add a little pizazz.  The Whip Cream layers was sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink and anchored on with mini plum brads from my stash (Michaels).

The background plum piece was stamped with the denim strip from Western Backgrounds to add some texture.  All the layers were stitched and rolled up to add a distressed element to all the elegance and glam.
