I tried to get in the Christmas spirit, but had pink on the brain, so both of my cards have feminine flair with the addition of PINK. Pink is always ok... (I hope LOL)
My first card was inspired by my husband... UNINTENTIONALLY. I often show him cards after I made them and ask him if he likes them. So, one day I showed him THIS card and his reply was, "nice Christmas tree". The problem is that it wasn't a Christmas tree, it was a Party Hat made with the super cute Jumbo Party Hat Die-namics. On the plus side, with the Christmas in July challenge coming up, it inspired me to whip up this actual Christmas tree. LOL
I trimmed it down to be a perfect triangle. I created the trunk with a piece of Hot Fudge Card Stock and tucked the tree in some Snow Drifts. I kept it nice and simple!
The gold garland was stamped with the wavy string from the Party Balloons stamp set. The ornaments were stamped with the period from Monogram Alphabet.
Next up is this card with an untraditional color combo. I created a Poinsettia in pink and green with a gold center. It was mounted on a Kraft Pierced Circle. The sentiment is from Document It - December. The background was stamped with Darling Dots.
Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team came up with for this fun challenge.

ReplyDeleteHey, I was pretty caught up with you! This is pretty far back! Don't tell the others -- I'm not sure what this means! Maybe your stuff gets into my box more easily -- or I comment with my iPhone from the Metro stop! :) BTW, love seeing the bday hat used as a Christmas tree, I wonder if anyone else did that!
