Pretty in Pink - Plus Mixed Media Card Video Tutorial

I made two cards for today's post, and both feature the color pink, but that is where the similarities end.  Up first is a mixed media card, and I even made a video of the process (sped up a LOT of course).  :) 

This mixed media card was created with lots of MFT Products: Checkerboard Stencil; Fancy Butterflies; First Place Award Ribbon; Winged Beauties Stamp Set; and Art Expression Text Stamp Set.

There were lots of techniques used on each component of this card, which you can see if you watch the video above.  The Checkerboard Stencil is really cool.  I added texture by using modeling paste with it. There are lots of layers of paint, gesso, paste, and other materials used to add dimension.

Up next is this clean and simple card using the new Stylish Friends stamp set.  Isn't this character so sweet?  I stamped the "writing lines" on the entire front of the card base using the Head of the Class stamp set, in Versamark.  The image was stamped on Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. I used a simple sentiment and finished it off with a couple tiny staples.
