One Layout - Two Different Looks

Hello there and thank you for stopping by today. I am back for day 2 of MFT November Release Countdown. There are just SIX more days until the new release products can hop in your shopping cart. Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for full set and die reveals for the day.

My first card uses a new die that I am soooooo excited about, the Hybrid Camellia Flower. It uses a cool interlocking petal design and the finished result is stunning. What do you think? Is it love at first sight? It was for me.

I created the background with the new Woodgrain Background.  It is a rubber stamp that is 5.75" square and will cover a large surface in just one impression. LOVE that. I embossed it on Chocolate Brown Card Stock with copper embossing powder. I am going to have to do that again because I *love* how it looks.

The Hybrid Camellia Flower was created with Smooth White Card Stock. The COOL Layered Leaves were cut from Kraft Card Stock. Those leaves are SUPER cool. They contain an emboss line on the base part so the solid leaves can be used alone, OR with the layer. Cool, right? The sentiment is from the new Free with $60 stamp set, Get Well Wishes.

Up next is this "old school" card using the cracked glass technique. I added a zillion (5+) layers of clear embossing powder over the white embossed snowflakes, and then popped it in the freezer for a bit until it was ready to crack.

I rubbed Kraft ink in the grooves of the cracked glass to accentuate the look.

I stamped more snowflakes from Mona's Sophisticated Snowflakes in the background and embossed them in white.  I added some stripes from Striped Backgrounds in kraft (that was stamped off) along the lower panel and then stamped a greeting from Cheerful Christmas Greetings in Chocolate Brown Ink. I did some light sponging in Kraft ink.

These products and many more will be available for purchase on November 12 at 10 PM EST.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with today.
