happy damask

My card today uses a stamp set that I am SUPER in love with, Damask Design by Mona Pendleton. I literally have wanted to use it on every card I make. It's elegant, EASY to use, and can be backgrounds OR focal points. Have I mentioned I LOVE this stamp set? 

I created the background by repeatedly stamping two different damasks in Tangy Orange Ink in a pattern. Then, I stamped over it with the Typewriter Text Background in Natural Ink. Double backgrounds takes me back to my happy place! 

I accented with the Hybrid Camellia Flower cut from Smooth White, stamped with Woodgrain Background in Natural and then added a Rolled Flower center in Tangy Orange. I added a couple leaves from the Layered Leaves Die-namics and "gilded" them with some Inka Gold metallic rub in Old Silver. It really helped the veins stand out.

I sponged the perimeter of the background layer and the flower with the Old Silver Inka Gold.
