My card today uses this super cool (and sweet) Pure Innocence Stamp Set, Guess Who Loves You? I LOVE her sweet glasses and she was super fun to watercolor.
She was watercolored with MFT Premium Dye Ink Refills on watercolor paper. The image was stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black and clear embossed to create "wells", which makes watercoloring easier, and cleaner.
The background was stamped with the Woodgrain Background in Grout Gray ink. I added a strip of Typewriter Text stamped in Graphite Black Brilliance and clear embossed.
The tiny scallop border was created with a die from Blueprints 9.
Do you notice how it is a perfect strip of letters? I created my very own strip by cutting the large background stamp. In the process, I also created two smaller "blocks" that can be used to easily stamp the text print without masking etc. I then purchased another Typewriter Text Background stamp to use "as-is", but I love customizing my stamps like this sometimes!
These products and many more will be available for purchase on January 7 at 10 PM EST. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with today.

ReplyDeletePeople think I'm crazy but I cut my stamps ALL the time. It is so awesome to be able to use just portions of them. Generally with the acrylic ones I can just piece them back together if I wish to use the entire image at some point. Haven't tried it with rubber though.
ReplyDeleteLove your card. The background text stamp is the perfect backdrop (it's still on my wish list).
ReplyDeletevery cool idea with the background text stamp - I'll be trying that with mine too!
