My first card today uses Lisa Johnson's new Wood You Be Mine? stamp set. I paired it with a stamp set from Laina Lamb, Picture This. I executed the sentiment very literally by wrapping the heart with knotted Hemp Cord.
The heart was stamped on the largest heart from Hearts a Plenty Die-namics, which coordinates perfectly. It was mounted on a circle STAX, and then on a die cut from Blueprints 6. The sentiment was embossed in clear and I sprayed some Kraft ink on the layer.
The background was stamped with the Typewriter Text Background in Sweet Tooth ink. I added a Banner Strip to the left as a fun accent and tucked it behind the Fishtail Flag.
Up next is this Pure Innocence cutie from the new stamp set, Love Is in the Air. I adore everything about her and this image is very fun to color. I created pleats on get dress using Copic markers. She is framed with a Circle STAX ring. The sentiment is stamped on the front layer, along with a strip of zig zag stitching from Hearts and Stitches, stamped in Natural. The hearts above the image are also stamped in Natural.
It was hard to photograph this card, as the image is on the inside of the card and when "tented" she is hard to see.
Can you feel the love in the air?
These products and many more will be available for purchase TONIGHT, January 7 at 10 PM EST. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with today.
