ReplyDeleteFamily - I have struggled with serious health issues for the last four years. I've allowed this to keep me from spending as much time with my family and participate in life as I want. My Dad passed away on July 29, 2013. Losing my Dad has made me realize I need to take part in life regardless of how I feel. Life really is too short. I miss my Dad every day and wish we had more time together. I plan to spend 2014 and the years ahead enjoying my family.

ReplyDeleteYour sticky stuff prize package is like pb to jelly for an adhesive addict like me! I am known in my family for NEVER leaving a single gap in the wrapping paper. All open edges M U S T be stuck thoroughly together or the package is not ready to be opened. Even my grandchildren (9, 5 & 1 /12) comment that Meemaw must have wrapped these! It has become somewhat of a joke with all of us at gift giving gatherings! I have even been known to fully wrap gifts with duck tape. One year I got 10,000 pennies and wrapped each individual coin wrapper with duck tape, then I put them all in a box and wrapped the box completely with duck tape. That was a huge hit! Now I use double stick tape so people are looking the package over wondering where the tape is. Winning these adhesives would put me over the moon and back again! Such sticky goodness would put me on overload!!! LOL! I am a new follower and I can't wait to see your creations in 2014. Thanks for sharing and the chance to be in adhesive heaven! OOPS! Hubby just came in and was reading what I wrote over my shoulder and said NO YOU DO NOT NEED ANY MORE ADHESIVES! What does he know?!?!? LOL Happy New YEar!! macaskillbarbara@yahoo.com
Contentment!
ReplyDeleteI want to be content with what I have!
Confidence and a job! I am going to try to go back to work as an Occupational Therapist this year (part time only since I'm a Mom first and foremost). I used to have such great confidence in my skills, but this past year (2013), I have been in 3 car accidents (none of them were my fault), and I have suffered 2 concussions. The one in January was pretty bad and took me awhile to get "over". I guess I'm just hoping that I can regain my skills and have confidence as a therapist. I would NEVER intentionally harm someone, so I need to make sure my skills are up to par before I ever think about going back, so I'm going to volunteer first. I'm just hoping and praying that I can come back from my injuries and be a functional OT again!

ReplyDeleteContentment. The second half of 2013 was stressful yet exciting at the same time. Hubby and I sold our condo, and stayed with my parents for 6 months while our house was built. Commuting an hour each way everyday for work, doing "house things", purchasing new furniture, dealing with banks and paperwork didn't leave me much time for fun, crafty stuff. We finally closed and moved in 2 weeks before Christmas!. In addition to having hubby's kids during school vaca, visitors and other holiday festivities, I've been busting my butt unpacking, receiving deliveries, and setting up house. I am ready for the new year and am looking forward to getting my craft room set up and organized so I can get back to being artfully creative. I am looking forward to getting into a routine and being content in my beautiful new home. Love your products Jody - Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!! Great prize package! It's been so much fun hopping through all the blogs. Thanks for sharing!! You are all such talented ladies!!! And I am very familiar with your sticky stuff - Amy Rysavy talks about it all the time in her videos, which I LOVE. My word for 2014 is *mindfulness* - being mindful of my life and appreciating what I have.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh there's so much! I wanna get organized, be healthy, stability, I want there to be peace but I guess the one thing I want most is happiness for my family. I want at the end of the day, month, year, at the end of my life to be able to say that I was happy!

I need to make sure I get to do all the things that make me happy, while not letting any balls drop, and still being the best ME I can be! I love your cards on this blog!
