I was in a lovey-dovey kinda mood, so my cards use my favorite letters of the alphabet, X and O. Who doesn't love hugs and kisses?
First up is this hugs and kisses love fest of a card featuring some components from a recent Blueprints Die-namics set.
I first cut the card layer using Blueprints 10 in Smooth White. Then I cut the eight pack of circles out using another component from the same die set. I cut four x's and four o's using the Negative Dot Alphabet in bright colors. I placed the full dot inside each hole and then used it as a guide to glue down my letters in *just* the right spot, making sure each letter was spaced evenly within the circle. As a final touch, I added an arrow from Feathers and Arrows and pulled in a couple new colors to keep the rainbow theme flowing.
The card layer was popped up off the base to add some dimension to the otherwise flat card.
Up next is this pretty-in-pink creation that uses the Lots of Love Die-namics to spell out "hey".
I cut the letters from Razzle Berry Card Stock and mounted them on Pink Lemonade circles cut from Stitched Circles. Then were mounted on a double-ended Fishtail Flag that I created with the cut and re-cut technique. I layered all that over a Kraft heart cut from Heart STAX.
The background was created by embossing the Hugs and Kisses Cover-Up on Razzle Berry Card Stock. I love the depth and interest created with just the simple embossing. Fun!
Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team came up with for this fun challenge.
