I got nautical today with the gorgeous Let's Get Nautical Die-namics, Go Overboard Stamp Set, and Striped Background. All of them are Brand Spankin' New Products that will be released on February 11 at 10 PM EST. There are so many FUN products being released!
The stripes were stamped with Versamark and embossed with a copper brown embossing powder. Then, I distressed it and sanded it with a black emory board (Walmart - $1.24 for 2). I was going for an aged wooden look. The sentiment is from the Go Overboard stamp set, along with the faint "rope" stamped under the sentiment.
I used the porthole from Let's Get Nautical and added a copper brad in each hole around the perimeter. The anchor inside was cut from a piece of card stock that I coated in the same copper embossing powder. I unraveled a piece of "rope ribbon" I had from SU from years ago and used it to tie on the end of the anchor. I intentionally unravelled the ends a bit. I created the double-ended fishtail using the cut, then re-cut method.
Isn't that embossing powder a perfect, rustic coating for the gorgeous anchor?
These products and many more will be available for purchase in just SIX days, on February 11 at 10 PM EST. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with today.
