Hello there and thank you for stopping by today. There are only 6 days left of the MFT July Release Countdown. The new releases can be yours on July 8 at 10 PM EST. Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for full set and die reveals for the day.
My card today uses the new Sweet Birthday Wishes Stamp Set and Die-namics. Oh my goodness, this character is SO sweet, pun intended. I LOVE her. I created the birthday scene using different elements in the stamp set. I used the "partial die-cutting" technique that Jennifer McGuire showed recently and I LOVE the look. It's very fun!
You can see here how it is die cut along a fold. It just takes creative die placement and some removable tape to get everything *just* right.
The character was stamped in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic Markers. The background and inside were both airbrushed with Copic markers.
I added a sentiment inside on the Small Brick Wall, kinda like graffiti.
Here is the card all opened up so you can see the complete scene. The small polka dot strip was added because my airbrushing went a little awry and I needed to clean it up a little.
Stamps: Sweet Birthday Wishes, Darling Dots
Die-namics: Sweet Birthday Wishes
Card Stock: Sno Cone
Ink: Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, Versamark
Supplies: Small Brick Wall Stencil, Copic markers, Copic airbrush
I whipped up another quick card using the three tiered cupcake holder as the focal image. The background was stamped with the Diagonal Stripe Background. I stamped and colored the cupcake stand and put it on a platform created from a circle frame found in Blueprints 16. I curved the sentiment to match the curve of the frame. I softened up the Razzle Berry Card Stock with a piece of vellum over it.
The focal circle was layered over a Pierced Fishtail Flag.
Stamps: Sweet Birthday Wishes, Diagonal Stripes Background
Die-namics: Sweet Birthday Wishes, Blueprints 16, Pierced Fishtail Flag STAX, Circle STAX Set 1
Card Stock: Smooth White, Pink Lemonade, Razzle Berry, Translucent Vellum
Ink: Banana Split Premium Dye Ink, Black Licorice Hybrid Ink
These products and many more will be available for purchase in just SIX days, on July 8 at 10 PM EST. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with today.
