Up first is this colorful creation with a happy surprise that is "hidden".
I started by splattering my card layer with a mix of Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink Refill and water using a paintbrush. Then, I added a strip of card stock in a rainbow of colors to the lower part of the panel. I layered a same-colored star (from Blueprints 16) over each of the strips, all in a straight row.
Then, I cut the word "Happy" seven times, in the same rainbow of colors. Don't see them?
Tada! A happy surprise; many colors stacked on top of one another, revealing a rainbow of happiness.
Die-namics: Happy, Blueprints 16
Card Stock: Smooth White, Red Hot, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Sno Cone, Nightshift Blue, Grape Jelly
Ink: Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink
On this card, I used the same rainbow of colors, but this time cut each color into a 3/8" strip and adhered it to a piece of white card stock. Then, I die cut the word "happy" and didn't remove them from the paper, but instead used it as all one piece. The words are legible, but a little "muted" (for a rainbow, of course).
The word "BIRTHDAY" is from the Happy Everything stamp set and the button is from Blueprints 14 (along with the other card components).
Stamps: Happy Everything
Die-namics: Happy, Blueprints 14
Card Stock: Smooth White, Red Hot, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Sno Cone, Nightshift Blue, Grape Jelly
Ink: Lemon Drop
This card uses the same rainbow of colors again, but this time, the lowercase "happy" was lined up across the width of the card. I arranged them in a way that I could fit them as close to one another as possible. The stamped sentiment is from the Happy Everything stamp set.
Stamps: Happy Everything
Die-namics: Happy
Card Stock: Smooth White, Red Hot, Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Sno Cone, Nightshift Blue, Grape Jelly
Ink: Lemon Drop
Last up is this sunny, yellow creation. I used only 2 colors on this card: Smooth White and Lemon Drop.
The Happy Birthday Background was stamped on the Balloon STAX. The word BIRTHDAY, from Delicious Birthday, was stamped on a Fishtail Flag STAX.
I added a piece of Hemp Cord to the balloon and adhered it to the back of the panel.
Like the rainbow card above, I stacked multiple die cuts together to create a dimensional sentiment.
I love the look of this! I think this is four layers, but I have used up to seven so far, and it looks good. :)
Stamps: Delicious Birthday
Die-namics: Happy, Blueprints 14
Card Stock: Smooth White, Lemon Drop
Ink: Lemon Drop
Supplies: Hemp Cord, Translucent Vellum
