To say I loved this card would be a gross understatement. This is one of those "came to me in the shower" ideas and I could NOT wait to see if I could make my vision come to life. The Take the Stage Die-namics is a brilliant design, but I wanted to try to do something a little different and create a puppet show "booth". The die had all the makings except the frame, so I went about building one with other MFT products. I stacked three Rectangle Frames together until I had a sturdy base. Then I stamped the Wood Plank Background on some Kraft card stock with Kraft ink and cut it into strips, a tiny bit wider than the rectangle frame sides. Then, I overlaid the base with the wood planks. The get the center piece, I created a second "base" and snipped off one of the four sides to create the center beam. The curtains were all stamped with the linen background using Blueberry ink, but I stamped it three times to make the pattern tighter to resemble denim. What is a country farm puppet show with denim curtains, after all? The curtain ties were cut from Red Hot card stock and the backdrop is Smooth White card stock with the curtain die. I stamped and colored 2 animals from The Whole Herd stamp set and used the small speech bubbles from " Smart Phone" to speak for them. The animals were adhered to kraft-inked mini popsicle sticks. I shortened the bubbles using the cut and recut method. It was a ton of work, but so worth it.
These products and many more will be available for purchase in just THREE days, on May 5 at 10 PM EST. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with today.
