Weathered Barn

Hello there and thank you for stopping by today. Today is the second day of the MFT May Release Countdown. Only 4 days left until the new release (yay)! Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for full set and die reveals for the day.

Today's card features a product I am absolutely in love with, the Barn Die-namics. This die is SO fun to use. It is large enough to take center stage on a card, and there are so many fun techniques that can be done with it. I just LOVE it. For my card today, I painted it with a tan colored paint, then with a weathered medium (Martha Stewart), then with red paint. (each layer needs dry time) The result is this weathered, realistic barn, that is cute enough to move into. LOL  The doors open and reveal the adorable wood planked interior. I used Copic markers to add detail to the hay poof coming out of the upper window. In the background, I have rolling hills pasture, complete with a wooden fence. The sky is sponged and there are white clouds in the sky.

These products and many more will be available for purchase in just FOUR days, on May 5 at 10 PM EST.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with today.
